So here is the deal. We are already married but having a reception in August for about 250 people. We have decided that we want a beach/hawaiin feel not luau or bright colors. We are going with shades of blue, sand, and white. I have seen alot of ideas in Oriental Trading Company magazines but we still dont know what to do for favors or centerpieces. I was just wondering if someone has any suggestions or even better some pictures of what they had or having. Also need help with invitations. We are on a limited budget and hope to do everything on our own. This is where we are having our reception at http://www.herecomestheguide.com/northern-california/wedding-venues/lucie-stern-community-center/
Thank you for your help

You have a beautiful venue, especially for your chosen color scheme.
Your flooring in either of the rooms on the thumbnails is the sandy color.
Have you decided on linens yet? I would use white linens as that helps keep costs down.
Pale blue napkins will complete your color scheme.
Or, you could also use white napkins with a watery blue organza cover or fabric flower.
If you can find a rental near you, beach lanterns would make an elegant easy centerpiece. You could place one orchid blossom or succulent in the lantern next to a candle.

Go to Ikea for lanterns and candles, they are always cheap there.
