It’s not all just about how many carats your diamond is… The cut can make a huge difference on how large the diamond may appear. The center stone here is about 1.24ct. Weird spot to take a picture but figure it would be good for a reference for how it looks next to something Or from further away.

mochibunni:  Thanks! I’m actually considering changing up the setting, I love the stone but I’d like something a bit daintier (the band is 2mm thick) and maybe with some milgrain. We’ll see (:

I love mine!! I feel like the size is perfect! I looked at some bigger and some smaller but I prefered this size. Mines a 1.23 center 2.23 total (not including the wedding band) princess cut on a size 9.5.

The medicine I take make my hands swell (and I’ve been on it since before we got engaged), but I will have to come off of it when we start trying for a family. And through pregnancy and breast feeding, So I’m interested to see how I will feel about my ring when my hands go back to a size 7!

alabamagirl:  I just had to stop and tell you that your ring looks absolutely PERFECT as is…in ALL sincerity. You made the right choice, so please don’t doubt it. It’s divine and looks like it was made for YOUR finger. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I personally think Emerald cut, Marquise cut, pear or oval looks AMAZING on wider fingers! I am a sz 8 and tried round, cushion, like everything but just fell in love with a step cut ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a 2.2 carat center

I have a size 9 finger, and I believe my stone is 2-3 carats. I think it’s a good size ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t forget about how much a halo can help! My stone is 0.84 and the halo is a 5 mm x 5 mm and I think I get pretty good finger coverage (I am wearing it on the right hand because my left hand got pretty scratched up by an angry cat at work). I am a size 8, ring is comfy sized to a size 8.5
