Hi bees! I recently got engaged a month ago on June 29th! Sadly the whole process of finally getting my ring was delayed as the ring he proposed with didn’t fit. It was a very large oval halo set pretty high, and though it was gorgeous, it was one size too small and I was worried about wearing something like that with my active lifestyle. i normally love high set rings on other peoples hands, but something didn’t look right when it was on MY hand for some reason.
In the process of looking into sending that one back, we found a similar but smaller e ring (another oval halo and more modest for my hand) that we both loved and decided to go with that one instead! It is very low set, which I think I like a lot better, IF I will be able to figure out what to do for a band that will look nice. I keep having doubts though about whether I made the right decision. Ultimately I felt like the original ring looked too gaudy for my hand, though the style my fiance picked out with the oval halo was absolutely perfect! I just had no idea I wouldn’t like the high setting until I saw it on my finger.
I’m not sure about curved bands because I don’t know if I will always be wearing my e ring and might want to instead wear just my wedding band in the future.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone else have very low set e rings? What did you do for a band?
I’d love to see pictures of yours! I apologize for my gross nails and low quality pics- my phone camera is not the best lol.
