So now that I got such good advise for both my fiance and I flying for the first time I was wondering if any if you had any advise for things for us to do/see on our honeymoon! We’ll we staying at a small place in Marathon, FL. We’re getting there Monday and leaving Friday, landing in Miami, getting a rental car and driving to our resort. We’re kind of low key people, I know my fiancé wants to deep sea fish, and I think there’s a Ripley’s Believe It or Not that he wants to see, but I want to know what else is worth doing/seeing/eating! Thanks!!

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
You should read reviews and ideas on Travelocity, Fiance and I are also going there in a month and that’s how I planned our Honeymoon.
Specifically in Marathon I made notes about Crane Point Hammock Museum and Nature Reserve and The Turtle Hospital. Also, I’m SUPER excited to see Key Deer!!!

We used to live in Miami and visited the Keys a few times. My favorite thing we did there was snorkeling at Bahia Honda (I think it is a state park). It was funny my SO was freaked out by the little tiny nurse sharks there- so if you’re scared of sharks, here’s your fair warning! I think that was pretty close to Marathon.
We also liked the Pigeon Key museum near Marathon- it is the remains of a workers’ camp from back when they were building the railroad out to Key West.
Although we never had a chance to do it ourselves, the Dry Tortugas (off of Key West) are another interesting place to visit if you’re feeling adventurous.
@mchitt329: Good luck with the Key deer! They are apparently super shy. We tried to no avail to find some but we -think- we heard some deer rustling in the bushes. It is now something of a long-standing joke between myself and SO.

Bump!! So far we’re going deep sea fishing, kayaking at our cottage (it’s right on the ocean and they give us a free 2 person kayak), planning to eat out a lot, go on a historical boat ride (if its not too late to book and it may be), chill in the hot tub and hammock we have in our little cottage, fish at the cottage, go to a bar in Key West (we’re staying in Marathon), and whatever else I’m forgetting.
