What time of day is your wedding? If it’s dusk/sunset, it would look really beautiful with luminaries lining the edges and floating candles in the fountain (if it’s a trickling fountain, otherwise the spray might put them out).

I think I’m missing something. What’s out of season? I love that teacup idea and you could buy shephard’s hooks online. I’m sure your florist could fill the cups no problem for you!

@Nola: Let me use the power of google… *side note: what in the world did we ever do without Google?!

$5.99/each for a 3′ hook

Matte bronze for $5.99

How to make one yourself with copper tubing (cool!!)

Ebay!

You could get really beautiful vintage teacups from a second hand shop and the flowers would be easy to DIY. I’d just stick a block of floral foam in the bottom and I bet you could do them up the day before pretty quickly!

@Nola: Ya your Fiance is right, copper is NOT cheap. I would maybe look at that bronze one instead, or get the best deal you can and spray paint them 🙂

@Nola: Two feet isn’t very tall considering your teacups are going to be hanging down. I’d almost worry people wouldn’t notice them and trip on them. I would likely go about 30″-3′.

@Nola: My pleasure! I want to see how they turn out! I love the teacups idea, I’ve never seen that before, it’s awesome and so different from the usual pomanders you see hanging down!

Like NDBee suggested, you could do luminaries or pomander balls around the perimeter.

I’m not sure on flower prices, but would hydrangeas be cheaper than roses? They are nice and round and come in a variety of colors, they should fit in the teacups well. The hanging cup and saucer are really cute!
