So I feel very lucky to have a close friend who has been incredibly supportive of my relationship, is psyched about my wedding and doesn’t seem to get sick of me talking about it haha, and seems to want to be Maid/Matron of Honor (we have discussed it in vague terms.)
I intend to “propose” to all of my potential bridesmaids as well as having a conversation with them seperately about their comfort with the cost/time investment etc.
This girl already knows she’ll be a Bridesmaid or Best Man because I asked her like the MINUTE I got engaged, I was so excited and couldn’t wait! But I want to do something EXTRA special to ask her to be Maid/Matron of Honor because I know she’d appreciate a bridesmaid “proposal” (she’s a very thoughtful and crafty person herself and gets into things) and because I’m really grateful for how much she’s already been there for me.
What are your favorite things you’ve seen? How did you ask your girls?

@PromiseRooster: I have not yet asked, as I am not yet engaged, but I plan on asking my sister to be my Maid/Matron of Honor with one of those “bridesmaid boxes”. I would make a t-shirt that says “Maid of Honor” and a few little gifts inside like the movie Bridesmaids and a Ring Pop.

I’m using a bridesmaid box.

That’s a cute idea, thank you!

Thank you! Any ideas what you’ll put inside?

@PromiseRooster: I hand delivered these cute little cupcakes. It gave us a chance to chat afterward.
It’s easy to get carried away on this! Be thinking of things that will ACTUALLY be used and keep in mind that you have lots of expenses ahead!

@PromiseRooster: I did the over seen bridesmaid boxes (here’s 2 pics below, sorry if they are huge). I was thinking I should have done cookies personally decorated but I was away at school when I made these and some had to be delivered in the mail so this was the best way to do it for me). My girls loved them and thought they were cute. Some hadn’t even seen them before so even better.
How it looked when they opened em:
Sealed and ready to go:
Those are so cute!

Oh man, I had a million ideas. I was going to get them each a necklace (or piece of jewelry) or something – just something they can wear on a daily basis. I love the cupcake idea above actually. But in the end, I don’t live near any of my BMs and I sent them this really pretty card that I found on etsy:
I did it with a gold back and pink lettering, it was REALLY beautiful.

Yeah they are actually already almost finished.. just waiting on the last item to arrive via mail.
Well, I took a unfinished wooden box, with a latch on each.
Each box contains and is a theme color based on the girls favorite colors :
1 sparkly tank top [non-wedding related]
baby lips gloss
hard candy eye shadow
mini photo frame
mini change purse
pearl bracelet & earrings [just for fun]
cell phone charm.
Once I finish them, I’ll close the box, and on top I’ll add their day-of clutch.. which looks just like mine, but in black. Here is my clutch :
The clutch will contain their day-of wedding jewelry [pearl necklace & earrings that also match mine, but once again, in black], wrap it all up in lace and add a name tag with their names.
