I could use some advice for decor. We are doing lanterns as centerpieces (the larger Borrby lantern from IKEA) with three candles inside at varying heights. The “floor” of the lantern needs something. This past weekend I added some fake flower petals and I really liked the look, but they are way too flammable to be used since the shortest candle is only like 3 inches tall. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have some ideas for what to do? Are there any non-flammable petal-like options I’m not thinking of? My mom also suggested the glass bead things, but I’m not a super huge fan of those. I may consider river rocks, if necessary.
The candles are dark reds but my main color is a burnt orange. The fake petals I found were close to this hue, which I also liked. I would also lean towards something black or gray.
Any ideas? Thanks!
