Yay for Engage-iversaries!  I think what you have planned is great – I can’t really think of anything to add.  December 20th is ours, but it’s also FI’s birthday (he knew it would be the one day that I would NOT be expecting anything!), so I don’t really want to make a big deal of the engage-iversary on his special day.

@MrsCarnival: Maybe do something you don’t usually do. Our last anniversay I got him to dress up cause I told him we were going out and ended up having a candle night dinner at home. Might not be the most original idea but it was not an everyday for us.

We’ve bought a bottle of Dom Perignon of the same vintage as we had for our engagement to celebrate our engage-iversary.

@MrsCarnival: Is he into his whiskies? My brother and I are members of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

@MrsCarnival: There’s an American branch although I don’t know much about them. You can join up as a member and they send you a list of their bottlings (all single cask and cask strength). Plus if you ever visit Scotland there are two fabulous member’s rooms in Edinburgh (and one in London but I’ve never been to that one).

The whiskies are infinitely superior to almost anything you’ll find in the shops and a little goes a long way. We’re having a whisky tasting as part of our stag and hen party.

Our engage-iversary is right behind you (December 18th) and I’ve been wondering the same thing! I was thinking I’d just make an extra special dinner.

Awww our engage-iversary is the 10th 🙂 We’re actually celebrating it by dressing up and going to dinner tomorrow night. We don’t do the fancy thing often so I’m really excited! I like the candlelit dinner at home idea!

Rent a movie and crack open a bottle of wine?

@MrsCarnival:

Nothing says I love you like an anniversa-bj!  😉

(Note: I can’t tell if that’s too inappropriate.  If it is, then I vote you make a nice dinner together and drink a bottle of wine.  Also, may I recommend that you come on the Bee and wish me a happy 30th birthday that day because I may be sitting here on the computer, crying about it, hahaha).
