We are having our wedding on a Sunday, due to that being the only date thye had left.
We’re having a lot of people coming in from out of town, so we’d like to so something the day/night before.
We live in southern california, dont want to spend a huge amount…any ideas on what we could do?

A backyard BBQ would be fun, with lawn games and lemonade and stuff. 🙂 Or maybe some sort of group outing like bowling or a picnic at the beach or a hike in the canyons.

We are doing a welcome dinner instead of a rehearsal dinner, we’re making it a crawfish boil. 🙂

Open toasting at a local bar! Afer the rehearsal dinner we are meeting up with anyone who wants to go at an Irish pub in Boston a block away from our hotel. I reserved an area in the ipstairs for free, people are paying their own way, and honestly, most Out of Town guests would be at a bar anyway, so bring them together! Its become a fun “tradition” over the past year and a half- we’ve had 8 weddings within our group and Open Toasting is fabulous! Its a time anyone can say anything about you guys, sentimental, a story, something funny…. whatever (not a roast). I can’t wait!

We had an Open House/Happy Hour at my parent’s place which is 1 block from the hotel that the Out of Town guests were staying.

My friend did a pool party at her place. Her Dad had the BBQ going, drinks in coolers, music blasting tons of games for the kiddies. It was so much fun and a great way for everyone to get together before the big day.
Another friend rented out a bowling alley and that was a blast too. Bowled, chatted with friends, cheap drinks and typical pub food like fries, burgers etc.
