I’m having a lunch reception too.  It’s a late lunch b/c we could only get the venue starting at 1:30.  The wedding and reception are in the same hotel, just in different rooms.  A practical wedding has some great sample timelines.  I modified thiers to come up with mine.  Here’s the plan:

  • 1:15pm—Invite time

  • 1:30pm—Ceremony starts

  • 1:45pm—Ceremony concludes

  • 1:45pm – Receiving Line

  • 2:00pm—Cocktail hour starts/Photos

  • 2:45pm – Bridal party enters/first dance

  • 3:00pm—Meal starts/toasts

  • 3:45pm—Cake cutting/Dessert

  • 4:30pm – Dancing

  • 5:50 pm—Couple departs

  • 6:00pm—Guests depart

Then, I think we’ll get changed and meet up at a bar around the corner with any guests who want to join us!
