Hi All —
My wedding is in a little less than 2 weeks and the escort cards are being put together. We’re having a sit-down dinner at the reception and people had a choice of one of four entrees in their RSVP. One thing I can’t decide, though, is how to denote which entree people picked for dinner so that servers know what to give each guest. What did you all do?
For what its worth, my escort cards are sea shells with names written directly on the shell.
Thanks in advance for your ideas!

I don’t have a suggestion, but I just thought I’d say–this is a good question. I never really thought about it! Also, *blushes*…..what’s an escort card?

Many people use stick on jewels in different colors to indicate each entree.
You could also use different seashells to indicate each entree.

@kate34: Sounds adorable! I would either do like @julies1949: suggested, or put on a particular colored ribbon from your theme to signify the guest’s selection. You could also use a thin sharpie to draw a line on or mark your shells in a way that the servers will notice.
@TheLionQueen: Escort cards are the card/item that have the guest’s name (and sometimes table number) on them. They can be used to show guests where their seat is, and different colors/shapes/stickers/etc and be used to signal what meal selection that guest has made.

A friend of mine stamped her cards with a different coloured flower stamp

Thanks all for the suggestions!! These are some great ideas. And, for what its worth, I had NO idea what escort cards were until about 3 months into the whole planning process 🙂
