Our reception is being held in Saratoga and we have a lot of guests coming in from out of town and staying there. I need some ideas on some Saratoga themed gifts…I was thinking Saratoga water and chips but we will have that at the reception.

how about something connected to horses/the racetrack? like a chocolate-shaped horseshoe? is the area known for apples? sorry my knowledge of upstate is limited, but i’m sure there are other ideas out there in the hive!

Thanks for the input! Who doesn’t like chocolate, maybe I will try and go to the track and see if I can get some free SWAG. Maybe try and hit up the tourist office too!
I researched about you apple idea and most are in Ballston Spa but, there is one in Saratoga…I will have to check it out!

I would definately include a list of personal recommendations for things to do, places to visit and maybe a gift card for cup of coffee at uncommongrounds or recommendations for mani pedi in town. Saratoga apple is really in schuylerville but its close enough to include http://www.saratogaapple.com

Definitely put in Saratoga water! You won’t need to decorate. I would do general NY things too if you can’t get enough Saratoga. Don’t forget Saratoga’s known for Performing Arts (specifically ballet) too. Good luck!

Ooohhh!!! Definitely the water. Maybe a Peppermint Pig? I’d wander around the track this summer and see if any tourist-y things strike your fancy. How fun! I’ll keep thinking (my family’s in Clifton Park, and I spent a LOT of my childhood in Saratoga–I love it there!).

Doughboys from Esperanto 🙂
Def Saratoga water….
you could have a ton of fun with a horse and/or casino/Victorian theme. . .
I LOVE Saratoga! I went to college there.

Also, for bags, this person does illustrated “maps” that you can screen onto the bags – cute ones that highlight famous sites in the area. a neat thing if you are using reuseable bags.
