Hello! I need ideas for things to do at our lunch reception! My fiance and I are planning on having a lunch reception, which will last a few hours. There won’t be alcohol, and we don’t want raunchy dancing, as there will be quite a few conservative people attending. It’s gonna have to be indoors, so I can’t do any picnicy/lawn type stuff. Any suggestions on things to do besides eat?
Ideas so far include that shoe game with the bride and groom, maaaaybe a slideshow, and potentially a contra dance or swing dance. I’m a little iffy on that idea because even though that sounds really fun to me, I’m not sure that some of the college-age people attending (our age) will appreciate it. What do you think?
Other ideas? We’re doing a literary book theme, and will have stacks of books on the tables, and will be giving out tiny books about our story as gifts. We’ll probably have coloring books for kids. Maybe a cottoncandy machine b/c, well, I love cotton candy and it sounds fun.
Thoughts? Ideas? I really don’t want this to be boring.
