We are having a very small and very casual wedding in our backyard in September. It has been a pretty short engagement so we decided to go very small and simple (which is more our style anyway). To give you an idea of how small/casual, we will be having about 20-24 guests, my dress is a $20 sundress I found online and Fiance will be wearing khakis and a white polo.
Right now, we are in the process of renting a tent and tables for the backyard.
So far the menu consists of-
Red hot dogs (a Maine thing), grilled chicken drumsticks, potato salad, pasta salad, broccoli salad, chips and dip and (of course!!) cupcakes!!
What does everyone think? Any ideas??

Do you have any vegetarians? If not that sounds good but maybe a garden salad for those who are eating lighter?

I think it sounds delicious!! Agreed re: vegetarian options. Even if you just buy some frozen veggie burgers to throw on the grill if necessary, it’s good to have it on offer.

What about a bean salad? Just buy a whole bunch of canned beans (different ones) and toss them in lemon juice. Because sometimes pasta and potato salads have dairy or mayonnaise in them, and a plain ol’ bean salad is good for veg freaks like me!

Bean salad is so delicious!! If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby, they sell premade bean salad that is delicious. It’s actually pretty cheap pre-made from most delis, too. Can’t go wrong with homemade, either!

Thanks everyone!! We actually don’t have any vegetarians, the picky ones will eat chicken but not hot dogs. Go figure.
The garden salad is great idea. I think we will do that. And we’re not much on bean salad, but that does remind me we will have a few pickle lovers so I do have to get some of those!
