So my wonderful Future Mother-In-Law supplied me with 9 cheese covers she had left over from her pottery days and told me to use them how I see fit. YAY! Now…I’m just not sure what to do with them. Our theme is butterfly and our colors are dark purple, silver, black, and white. Any ideas?
They look like these, but without the boards:

have you created centerpieces yet? if not, why not make faux terrariums, under the domes, with moss and butterflies and such? or faux flowers in your colors?

Can you clarify if the ones you have are also made of glass or pottery? Makes a big difference if they are transparent or not.

Yup they are made with clear glass. I’m not sure if I am a huge fan of the terrarium idea, but maybe I could make it work? We are getting married in a tea garden, so the terrariums might take away from that. We do already have our centerpieces made, these would just be extra.

How thoughtful of your FMIL! What about putting a tiny bouquet or plant some wheatgrass and add a tiny butterfly in a teacup underneath and placing them around your cake? Or perhaps you could get 9 glass bottoms (the kind they use to place under pillar candles at dollartree and use them for olives, pickles, etc?
