These are my wonderful and comfortable Rocketdog shoes I bought on eBay for $9! I love them as they are, but I’ve thought about doing some sort of non-permanent bling or shoe clip on the top of the toe.
Yesterday I found some clip-on earrings at JC Penney on clearance for a few dollars. I broke off the clip part and now I’m left with this:
(they’re actually much prettier in person!)
How exactly am I going to attach these to my shoes? I have no idea.

Those are my bridesmaids shoes, but in black. Love them. Sorry, not sure about the earrings, just wanted to tell you I love your shoes

my rocketdog wedding shoes look just like those but flats! and in red…love rocketdog
gluegun might work! just be careful you dont put too much on there so its seeping out the sides…

Maybe see if you can buy plain shoe clips. Then you can glue/solder the earrings to the clip while not having to permanently attach them to your shoe (and you can wear them on other shoes then too!)

I used the clip part of the earings to hold them to the shoe and then glued them in place. How do they fit on the shoe since you broke it off?

I would second the shoe clips unless you wanted to permanently alter the shoes.

@Nola: The actual clip-on part seemed pretty flimsy, otherwise I would have tried to make that work as the clip as they were. It look one little bend and it broke off cleanly. Plus, the way it was made, the whole thing would have been sticking off of my shoe quite a bit.
@indibee: This is what I was thinking but I’m having a hard time finding these! I looked on eBay and can only find one seller. Any ideas?

I just did this with my shoes the other day. Bought a pair of clip-ons from Ebay for $9. I left the clip on the back and they attached to my shoes perfectly. I went ahead and hot-glued them to secure them, to make sure they’d stay in place.
If you don’t want to glue them down, my alternative was to buy the actual shoe clips that NDBee showed. Good luck!

@Wannabe-diy-bride: I read online that the best places to get them are ebay or craft stores.
Not sure which part of ND you’re in, but I’m guessing Fargo craft stores would have some, or Bismarck/Minot (the bigger cities). Smaller cities may as well- might be worth it to call a few up before heading out to see if they carry them. Otherwise I’d just order some on ebay if you’re comfortable (a few sets, incase of goof ups).

I love this idea! I def. agree with NDBee – I think the clips would work best. Good luck!

What a creative idea! Love it!

Booo, just realized shoe clips won’t work. I bought the ones off of eBay and when I went to clip them onto the shoe, it doesn’t stay put. The shoe has that knot thing on the top and is not flat….
So if I DO bling my shoes, it will need to be something more permanent.

This is a great idea! Make sure to post pics when you’re done!!

umm… double sided heavy duty tape?

Can you either temporarily sew or wire them on under the knot part?
