maybe you can do a backdrop of some kind on that side, like a tent-wall but maybe decorate it a bit? add some clear light strands and some minimal decor…?

beautiful view otherwise.

tulle is very transparent you would have to use at least 3 times the material to get a non see through effect. the only other option is to line the tulle with a cheap white fabric behind. or you could buy cheap faux silk flowers and string them on fishing line and hang them in front of the tulle like this picture. it would distract the eye well.

I wouldn’t use tulle. Even a very light wind will blow it around and knot it up. I’d get some PVC pipe or something, and wrap that in cheap fabric–Walmart and places like that will have sales for about $1.00 a yard. If you’re worried about the noise (looks like there is a highway behind) you could wrap the fabric all around the pipe, instead of just on one side. Alternately, you could rent tall potted plants to put back there. It really isn’t that horrible, though.

If there is an outlet handy, you can also hang draping white Christmas lites, with or without tulle.
