Honestly, if you picked out her dress for your wedding, it’s not a gift. If she went shopping, found the dress on her own, and asked you if she could wear it as her bridesmaid dress, then it would be. Since its almost always the prior, get her a giftcard 🙂 Then she can use it to pay off the dress or use it towards something she loves.

When FH’s family wants to gift some or all of something that can’t really be wrapped, they make certificates. A cute little computer made certificate saying something like “This certificate is good towards —percent, dollar amount, whatever— for a bridesmaid dress at my wedding” or something like that would be simple, but touching. Maybe put some little dress icons or something around a border edge, and sign it in cursive to make it look a little fancier. A gift wrapped shirt box is usually about the right size, with room to spare.
