My sister sent me beautiful flowers to my work with a note asking me if I would be her Maid/Matron of Honor.  It was cute and unexpected.

I went to walgreens.com and uploaded a number of memorable photos that I had for each Bridesmaid or Best Man. This included photos of her and I growing up, at graduation, when I was a bridesmaid at their wedding, etc. I created a personalized collage card for each Bridesmaid or Best Man. At the bottom I typed “Let’s build more memories! Will you be my Bridesmaid?”

Good grief!  That bablingbrooke lady (btw, doesn’t babbling have two b’s, not one like the user’s name?) needs to let it go that you want to ask them in a special way.

I made my girls each a special card.  I think you paper flower idea sounds really cute.

I bought my Maid/Matron of Honor “Made of Honor” on dvd and sent it to her in the mail with a card that had a poem and asked her to be my Maid/Matron of Honor. My bridesmaids each got “27 Dresses” on dvd in the mail with a card asking to be a bridesmaid. My FH just asked his guys in conversation shortly after we were engaged.

Whatever you do, I’m sure your bridesmaids will feel it was personal and special!

EDIT: Just read the knot post. HOLY COW. Thank goodness I never went on those boards or I would have been scared to come to WB.

Wowza….. The Knot is rough.

I wrote what I did for my Maid/Matron of Honor and BMs here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/creative-ways-to-ask-my-bms-and-moh

It’s long, I just really didn’t feel like retyping it. Embarassed

Etsy has some adorable cards too if you search “bridesmaid cards” or “will you be my bridesmaid cards”.

I think it’s a nice gesture to do something extra for your BMs and it’s one of the more fun things I’ve done for my wedding!!!

ETA: I actually really like your idea of paper flowers/cheap garters though!!

I don’t really have any great ideas for you, but I just wanted to chime in and say that I’m happy things never get that snarky around here! I can’t believe how much they attacked you about something so innocent as trying to find a sweet way to ask your bridal party. Why would anyone want to belong to a forum just to put other people down?

I have no ideas but OMG…. that’s the most ridiculous thread!  Yuck.  It’s like people just wait for the opportunity to post rude responses.

lol OMG i just read a fraction of the posts on the knot, and now I know why everyone talks about how different it is from WB… weird how two forums can have such a completely different mentality, those girls are rude!!!

I like your idea, I also read a post how one girl did like cutout girls and decorated each girl to look like each bridesmaid, it was so cute.
