Well….we are going to get a new ring custom made for me out of the diamonds I currently own but do not wear! I will tell you what stones I have and then a little of what style I like and maybe some lovely bees could give opinions on what they think I could do with them.
-I have ten small matching diamonds that have a tcw of 1/4
-8 matching small diamonds similar to above but not quite the same size
-7 matching slightly larger and whiter diamonds than above, that are still small enough to make up the cluster of my current ring.
Obviously I don’t need to use all the stones for the ring. Left over ones could be used for something else.
It has to be kind of budget friendly, the cheaper the better really but I am willing to wait and save for something of a reasonable price if I really love it. If you could shed some light on which type of settlings would be more expensive etc?
So my likes…I love gemstones and like the idea of a gemstone centre surrounded by a prong set halo. I wear a ceylon sapphire as my ering. My other loves are amethyst (though not sure how good it would look against yg?) ruby and maybe a yellow stone…yellow sapphire or citrine, an emerald.
I love vintage style and antique rings with detail and character. Filigree, milgrain etc but still quite delicate, don’t want it to overpower my ering and eternity band which are both very thin. I like emerald shaped cuts, ovals, floral designs, low profile so it doesnt snag. Another idea I was thinking is maybe a filigree carved kind of band with diamonds scattered through it. Something that doesn’t look like an engagement ring as it is for my right hand. How should rhr differ from erings?? I’ve never done anything like this before and it’s all very exciting but I haven’t a clue where to begin!!
