if you know anyone who is a high school teacher/coach or college professor, they may know some students.

temp agencies who have hospitality divisions also may have people.

you may also want to post on the job board at of a culinary school.

i dont know what part of new jersey you are from, but if you are near the nyc area, pm me and i can send you some temp agencies and culinary schools in the area.

good luck!

Not sure where you would find that, but I don’t know that I’d promise your waiters tips.  It would never occur to me to tip a waiter at a wedding.  The bartender at a cash bar is a little more common though.

Find the nearest college and ask the head of the cafeteria if any college students are available for extra work. Our college has a number of student workers in food services, who really need money, and trains them beautifully in fine service since they’re the ones serving at Trustees dinners and such.

I second SapphireSun.  Don’t promise tips- the likelihood of that happening is slim…veeeerrry slim.

My fi had the brilliant idea of hiring a group of teenagers/young ppl from church to help with serving and clean up at the wedding. They are looking for ways to raise money for a mission trip so we plan to make a significant donation to their trip. Not only are we getting help for a reasonable price, we’re also helping out a good cause!
