I’ve been searching online for a few weeks now, waffling between a pink dress and s short dress, and lo and behold I come across this dress in Google images… it made me gasp out loud! Only problem is… it appears to be a stock photo perhaps? There’s no tag identifying the designer, or retailer. Any Bees know this dress?

@meliss: ACK! Guess that’s off the list 😛 I should have recognized it… I see now that it looks a lot like Carrie Bradshaw’s Wedswood dress.

@MissNoodles:
The short version does look different, I wouldn’t have recognized it either. I tried on a Manuel Mota dress once and kept asking on the boards which style number it is. Only a year later did I realize it was the same dress Jennifer Garner wore in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.

I remembered your post when I was looking for something for someone else, I ran across this dress and it looks so much like the one you posted. You could always have it ordered short or have a seamstress take it up.

@MissNoodles: This dress kind of resembles the dress you posted (if you remove the straps) and is at a much better price:

I know you’re in Winnipeg, but I would check out this website: http://www.cabaretvintage.com/category/cabaret-collection-cocktail-brides/
The dresses are custom, I believe, and have a similar modern/vintage styling that I think is really similar to the Westwood you’ve posted. Also, they are (or at least were) under $1000- the short styles.
Looking back, I kind of wish I had done something like this for my wedding. 😀
