Aw yay!  That is a huge thing because usually men aren’t all that into shopping.  Good for you guys for moving into a new home that is yours and yours alone to start brand new beginnings and memories!!

I’m a person who gets SUPER hot.  I mean hot, jacket off in January (I live in Canada’s capital and it’s friggen cold here).    So moving into my FIs house that does not have central air was a pretty big deal for me.   We can’t install central air as our home doesn’t have heating ducts.  There is another great option but it is pricey and he doesn’t have time to do it as he is gone in a couple of weeks from now for the rest of the year. Coming up with an air conditioning solution was looking pretty hopeless.  Our windows are all long Bay style windows that open outwards like a page in a book, so to install a unit, you need to remove the whole window. Well ours are so old we are justifiably worried they will never go back on.    Today after dropping me off at work, he went into a Lowes and found a solution to our problem.  He said it will be ready and waiting for me to come home to and sit in comfort while I watch my beloved Canucks play in the Stanley Cup finals!!

Awww ladies. This is a sweet thread!

Im happy as well. Fiance is seriously so amazing. We have been going swimming together lately. It really brings us closer together! And last night he made dinner and I thought that was super sweet. He is really trying in the kitchen and it makes me feel so special!

I am! I am! My Fiance has never been a very good nurse when I’m sick or feeling bad (we’re working on that lol) but this weekend I got SUPER sunburned and he would bring me Advil and he went to the store and got aloe and kept asking how I felt.  Before I went to sleep, he was like if you need something wake me up, don’t hesitate.  That’s the kind of stuff I value.  ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the happy threads ๐Ÿ™‚

We just got back from a long weekend and I needed to put gas in my car, and as stupid as it is, I absolutely HATE getting gas for whatever reason. Fiance knows this and took my car last night while I was cooking dinner and filled it up for me. Since I work from home and don’t really go anywhere during the day I usually only put 1/2 a tank in (because I hate pumping gas) so a full tank will last me almost 3 weeks ๐Ÿ™‚ When he does things like that it makes me realize how much he loves me if he’ll work all day and then still come home only to leave again just to put gas in my car because I don’t like to. lol

Loving the happy vibes from this thread!

When Fiance and I started living together he wasn’t always the best at thinking of me in situations (telling friends to be quiet when they are over and I’ve gone to bed let’s say, or telling someone to save me some dinner if I wasn’t home yet etc…) after 26 years without having to care for anyone but himself, it just wasn’t an instinct for him. But since he proposed he’s really taken it upon himself to make sure I am covered in those types of situations, and goes way out of his way to do me little favors here and there without me asking at all.  He’s really a great man, and he was before but him taking the initiative to “take care” of me has been amazing. It feels so much more like we are a family rather then two individuals.
