Mine is in the mail to me right now and I’m hoping it’ll solve the fears and second guessing I’m having. I love my dress and it is perfect for our venue and fits my personality perfectly. But I keep seeing other incredible gowns and feeling like I decided too quickly.

I was just so sick of the dress hunt and having no success feeling “bridal”. I felt like I was playing dress up in a princess’s closet. Lol. I made an impulsive decision to buy a dress that was extremely plain in detail and simple in shape, but that made me feel like a “woman/bride” thinking the stress would be over. Haha…not even close! I kept looking and as a season passed, dresses were becoming more colorful and nontraditional and I started seeing things that looked like me. I tried to cancel my dress almost immediately (less than a month after ordering), but to my shock it arrived in the shop almost overnight. It is currently for sale and looking for its forever home and I have an appt in 2 weeks to try on a dress that I am feeling just may be THE ONE! πŸ™‚

Oh man did I battle with dress regret. After months of looking and 100+ dresses I had really given up the idea of finding the “one.” When I tried on my dress it was different, felt different. I didn’t hesistate to purchase and felt giddy leaving the store. My dress regret hit the next day.

Up until my big day I wondered if I had made the right decision and it wasn’t until I had the dress on with my veil, shoes and accessories in place and was ready to meet my soon to be husband that I realized I had worried for nothing. It was the perfect dress.

I loooooved my dress and never regretted it once. Probably what helped is I stopped looking at dresses – when I read wedding blogs, I tried to avert my eyes, and I definitely didn’t go looking for dresses on Pinterest or elsewhere on the Internet. I think that helped a lot. I’m not convinced that there’s just ONE dress for every girl, but I do think that every girl can find a dress that makes her feel beautiful. That’s what’s important.

Thank you!! I paid to bring in a loaner to the nearest retailer (3 hours away!) and my appt happens to be on my birthday. Crossing my fingers. πŸ™‚

I bought my dress off Craigslist and have NO regret! I absolutely love it and can’t wait to get married in it. That being said, I do have regret that I never got to have “that day” where you go with your mom, Future Mother-In-Law, sis, Future Sister-In-Law, and close friends to try on tons of dresses and finally say “yes” to that one. I’ve considered doing it just for fun, but don’t want to second guess myself due to the fact that I am so in love with my dress.

Other.  When she took my credit card to the back room to write up the bill for the deposit.  But I was over it by the time I walked out of the store πŸ™‚
