Yes. It will still look good even if it is not perfect. : (20 votes)

It's better to wear your backup dress than be seen in that weird halter. : (14 votes)

@saffy:  I’d still stick with the halter dress IMO it’s much nicer on you. It looks like the straps just need to be moved out towards your underarms more!

I’m sure it won’t be too hard to fix, i’d stick with your original dress.

A tailor should be able to fix that no problem in a few hours.  Moving straps is easy!

I see what you’re talking about that the strap isn’t quite right but it should be a simple fix.  Call an alterations person in the location you need & get yourself on their schedule ASAP!

(That said, I do like your backup dress, but you don’t want to feel like you had to “settle” for backup over somethign so simple…)

Moving the straps is a pretty simple fix. If you have any sewing experience (or if you have a friend/relative who can sew), this can be taken care of in well under an hour. I get that you may not feel confident doing it yourself, but seriously, before panicking and looking for a tailor/seamstress in a remote location, I would start asking around among the people I know who might be able to lend a hand. Yes, it’s a wedding gown – but, at the end of the day, it’s just fabric. It won’t be difficult to move the straps a few inches.

Another vote for the original dress.

All it needs is for the straps to be moved out a little and it will be fine!

I like your main dress better. Can she cut the halter straps off and move it more towards your armpit? I think it just got moved in too much and needs to be spread apart more. Or cut off all together.
