I don’t think the OP means people shouldn’t use premade invites or is judging anyone for using them, but rather that they don’t really need to be posted on the DIY board because they aren’t really that DIY, since it is merely filling in the blanks.  I think she is saying it isn’t comparable to projects where a bride decorates her own shoes or makes her own centerpieces.

And yes, it does somewhat clutter up the DIY board.  I like the idea someone suggested about having a better way to organize the DIY, so it is easier to sort through.

I totally agree that spending too much time on your invitations is a waste. The only people who really do keep them are mom and Mother-In-Law…plus, what about those people who do post on the DIY board even if it was a template? They are probably really proud of what they did and just wanted to share their excitement with you. I think being supportive of them is better than creating a thread putting them down. :-/

When I saw wolfpack program, I thought you meant pictures like this on a wedding program:

And so I just came in to defend that, and say that wolfpack wedding stationary would totally kick ass.

Personally, I LOVE the wolfpack program.  But I get it, OP, it’s pretty overdone and not entirely up the the DIY standard.  That being said, I thing the tone of your message could be changed to come across much better, and yes, the DIY boards are cluttered and chaotic with some things that are… sort of DIYs.

I think its your wedding and you can do whatever the hell you like without fear of the wedding police, as long as its not offensive.  Is it a fad?  Couldn’t give a flying monkey.  Our wedding, our way.  I very much doubt anyone at our wedding is going to look at the invitations and stationary and be like “well… she’s obviously akin to Hitler because I’ve already seen this template online…”
