Ok, am I alone here? Am I the only one who thinks that the jewelers are SCAMMING women into buying ugly brown diamonds by calling them ‘chocolate?’ I mean… they are BROWN! Know what else is brown??? Gross stuff. Gross stuff is brown.
Am I alone? Does anyone actually like these things??

I like some chocolate diamonds, but I am sick of seeing the ads all the time.

I am literally watching one right now… Um…. not my thing, but everyone likes different things I guess.

Hate ’em. I think they look even worse when they’re paired with blue diamonds (which I love), but every jewelry store seems to love that combination.

I think they are really ugly. It’s like having mud on your hand…or worse, lol! But brown isn’t my choice for jewelry/clothing color anyway If they’re making them……someone must be out there buying them!

My friend was obsessed with one and it’s all she wanted last Christmas. Her husband got her a chocolate brown diamond RHR and it’s ok. Nothing great.

@janie-janie: Ha! I was thinking that might happen. Hoping it won’t. But I just couldn’t stay silent any longer.

I don’t think they are dark enough brown to be called chocolate, they are more of a tootise roll color to me? So they don’t evoke a rich chocolate feeling. I think they are OK, not my fave though.

I don’t like the settings and designs that they have out. It seems like a lot of clusters and busy designs, which aren’t really my style. I think it could be pretty in a simpler design.
The commericals are super obnoxious though.

I don’t mind the stones, but most of the settings I’ve seen on commercials aren’t great.

I agree that there’s a larger hand at play with these brown diamonds. I don’t know if they are too brown or not brown enough but they don’t say fine jewlery to me. And those cluster designs with the stones look like Coco Puff crumbs on a setting.
