A duet entree for a few dollars more

A single entree (guests have to send in choice with RSVP)

If I could budget for it, I’d do the duo entree.  We liked this option, but it was cost-prohibitive for us.

You could ask guests to RSVP with their meal option, and for anyone who doesn’t give their choice, you could choose the duet entree so that theoretically they’re happy either way. It would save money paying for the duets for everyone (though you might want to make the duet an option too—it’s what I would pick!), and save you the aggravation of tracking down missing meal orders. Best of both worlds!

For how many guest?  If it’s 100 guests and add up to $300 extra (assuming $3/person) vs. 300 guest and adds up to $900…that’ll make a difference…

I like the duet option to make things simpler.

In the end, I feel like people like to think that they have a choice in what they are getting, plus it saves money in this scenario.  Again, this is me personally, I’d end up having to ask for double chicken or fish, since I can’t have red meat…and even though the caterer could obviously accommodate for it, how many exceptions are going to be made?  From experience in general with attending events with duet entrees, I always feel bad having to either send mine back if I get the wrong plate, or having to explain to the server what my order was because it is different than everyone else’s.  Embarassing.

I would not like it if red meat were put on my plate without my permission.  While I might eat it, my husband would refuse to eat any food that red meat touched.

I like seperate options because I really wanted to include animal icons on the invites. LOL

I like single entrees because most people will only eat one of the duet options.  That means lots of wasted food in the end, so you might as well through those extra few dollars per person in the garbage.
