College!  Different ones too, so  I guess it really is if it weren’t for his fraternity and my college organization we wouldn’t have met!  And I had said how frat guys were not my thing, boy was I wrong.

If it weren’t for an 8am Meteorology class I wouldn’t have met my Fiance, and if it weren’t for a drunken night at the local bar we wouldn’t have transformed our best friend/roommate relationship into something more!

If it were not for my Sony Vaio being as quirky and unreliable as it is, I would not have met my fiance.

He was a member of the Geek Squad at Best Buy and his eclectic taste of music that was playing on his Pandora station as he worked relentlessly on my poor Vaio, caught my attention.

However, he is a Mac. I am a PC. But we get along quite well 🙂

if it weren’t for me going to a small liberal arts school when my dad wanted me to go to a state school… meeting my best friend in college… finally getting up the nerve to put the moves on a guy (my friend’s brother)… that “relationship” not working out… me talking to my best friend and her telling me that she has a friend who was going to the school down the road from us for grad school… me asking my friend for his IM name and deciding to talk to him online with my new found courage… him not thinking i’m crazy and responding to my IM… i would have never met my fiance!

If it weren’t for having my purse stolen on halloween, I wouldn’t have reconnected with Fi.  We were friends before, but had lost touch.  I thought losing my phone was the worst thing ever, but asking all my friends on facebook for replacement numbers lead to him asking me out.  Best thing ever.

WOW GREAT POST YOU HAVE GOIN ON OVER HERE!!! If it werent for HIS brother getting married it would of never happened. I met him at his brother’s wedding 3 yrs ago, my mother is a hairdresser and cuts his brother’s hair, I am a manicurist and did his sister in law’s nails, they invited us to the wedding and it all started from there, we are grateful that they got married and I am grateful for going with my mom to the wedding (she was going to go with her friend but told me to go with her instead)

If it weren’t for 9/11, I would have never met my Fiance. We were in college away from our families when I walked by him crying, desperate to talk to my family back home. He lent me his cell phone and waited with me until I called everyone I knew. We went to the vigil together, talked, and the rest is history.

Some of these are funny and some are a little more somber. But I love hearing how couples met. If it weren’t for graduate school at Texas A&M, I would have never met my Fiance. We both strongly considered going somewhere else, but eventually decided on A&M. However, we didn’t start dating until 3 years after we met. We were pretty good friends, but it wasn’t until he asked me out through facebook after he had moved from College Station to Houston for us to start dating. Funny how these things happen!!

If it weren’t for WALMART, my girlfriend Glenda, I wouldn’t have never re-met my Fiance. He and I went to school together, but I hadn’t seen him in over 18 years. I noticed him in school because I was tall and he was tall and it wasn’t but a hand full of us that were taller than all the teachers! lol! Anyway, one night my girlfriend and I had been out all day shopping in three counties over from where I live, so we passed three Walmarts on our way back to my home. She decided when we got back to my town that she wanted to go to Walmart before we went back to my house. I was so upset with her, I didn’t want to go in because we had been eating and walking all day. I was so tired and my pumps were working against me and my stomach was beyond trying to suck it in! lol! So, I told her that I wasn’t going in and that I will sat in the car until she returned. Well she begged and begged and I finally gave in and went into Walmart with her. We were on the HBA isle and there he was looking at toothpaste. I hadn’t seen him in a long time (over 18 years) and I walked over to him and said, “hello Howard, It’s been a long time” My initial thought was to hook him up with my girlfriend so I introduced him to her hoping that they would show some interest in each other but they didn’t so… well he asked me for my number and because I knew him from shool, I gave it to him. (I usually take the man’s number instead of giving out my number) I’m glad I gave him my number because I probably wouldn’t have never call him…I never do when I get numbers like that. Anyway, he didn’t call for the next two days and then one day he called and we stayed on the phone until the sun came up! We were switching phones and charging them up all through the night! It was so funny! A few days later, he asked me out to the movies. I don’t do movies because they are always cold and if something was to happen in there, it would be hard to get out!) I didn’t go, but I invited him over to my house to play Billards in my basement. The rest is history. I don’t know…. I guess if it weren’t for my girlfriend Glenda, we wouldn’t have met… don’t you agree?Smile
