    Yes- I love my job

No way- I gave up my childhood dream when I realised what a bill was.

I am working at my current job to fund my future dream.

Dreams are only for millionaires and play boy bunnies

I am a special education teacher, and i love my job. However, like the speech path above, I find myself worn down by the paperwork, and the politics and sometimes the parents. if I could teach part time, and spend time at home, I think I would like that.

Secretly (like many teachers), I want to be a stand-up comedian.

@Julybride88:  I am very happy in my current job. I work for myself, I set my own hours, I am able to be with my kids when necessary.

However, I do know someone who would actually play. My mom. She would love to be a grocery store cashier. Don’t know why. She loves the customers and interaction with them. She worked for grocery stores in her teens and says she still would if she could.

Money wise – I would be in my current field. My current situation in my field has gone a bit south – but I’m pursuing a new position in my field.

However… if smarts and time were no issue… I would go back in time and become a midwife. I just suck at science. That’s my alter-egos job 🙂

I would probably be an artist of some sort, or a writer if money wasn’t important

I do like my job, but it’s still a job. If I didn’t have to earn money I would be a full-time athlete.

I could earn a heck of a lot more in a different job – but I absolutely love the one I am in now, and as it pays the bills (sort of – glad I have SO as a roommate) with a little to set aside every month I feel good about it.

I might still want to teach part time, but I’d LOVE to have the money for a full-on quilting (+ whatever I fancy) craft room.

And I’d like another 12 hours in the day so I could ALSO write.

I would love to be a teacher, but they don’t make enough money.

There are two things I really wanted to do– fashion (business) and politics (activisim)– and I’m currently in one field and used to be in the other. I still really care about both!

I’m happy to say I’m focusing full time on the business part of my career right now and once I make some progress there I’m going to focus more intently on activism, so basically I’m already doing what I want to do.

But if money were no object I’d probably go back to politics full-time and do some fun fashion/business projects on the side (e.g. find talented young designers and fund and launch their projects.)
