I always had a thing for princess cut diamonds, but then Fiance and I went ring shopping. I tried on everything princess cut and nothing was jumping out at me. The lady who worked at one store convinced me to try this on…. and right away, I knew it was meant to stay on my finger (as corny as that sounds). I didn’t want to take it off. It’s really my dream ring… I wouldn’t change a thing. I find it’s perfectly proportional for my finger. I fell in love with it, and the matching band..which you can probably see in other threads. If we won the lotto, I wouldn’t change a thing, because it’s what he gave me, and I would never give that up.

oops! sorry for the big photos Sealed

@Cinderella Someday: Your ring is stunning. Maybe in NYC they are just snottier?

They also wouldn’t provide GIA certs with their stones (at least here) so he turned around and went somewhere else.

I got my dream ring. I always wanted a family ring. I love vintage and antiques and I thought it would be way more meaningful to have something from either of our families. I have his great grandma’s ring, and I love it!

Fiance actually bought my dream ring for me for christmas. I picked out my original e-ring. But we paid it off for 6 months, when we finally picked it up i felt no connection to it. In fact, i hated it. And i feel okay saying that since i picked it out. I still swear to this day its not the one i picked out. But here is that one

BUT here is my new one. I LOVE it. I looked at it everytime we went to the mall for a year. And i finally got it!

My dream ring WAS a asscher cut solitaire with a plain band. Then I got mine and I just think it is the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on. If money wasn’t an option, I wouldn’t minnnddd if the side stones got progressively larger as they came up (as is they are all the same size and make kind of a stripe). I wish I had a pic in better light, this just doesn’t do it justice =)

My dream ring before I got engaged was a lot bigger that I actually wanted, and I wanted a princess cut diamond. Fiance didn’t have a ring when he proposed, probably because he usually sucks at picking out jewelry for me. When we went out shopping for my ring I tried on bigger diamonds, and princess cut diamonds, and hated how they looked (especially with a band). So Fiance saw this ring that I only kinda liked, but I tried it on anyways. Well I fell in love with it right when it went on my finger! Here is the picture from the company’s website:

And a picture of mine from my engagement photos by Kelsie Taylor Photography:

I’m amazed at how many of y’all like pear diamonds! I have to say my ring is my dream ring.

My husband took all the “dream ring” photos I gave him and designed this ring. If i was to have anything different now, this is probably what I’d choose:

Once I got wind of my Fiance plans I decided that I really really really wanted the Tiffany three stone circlet (http://www.tiffany.co.uk/Engagement/Item.aspx?GroupSKU=GRP10044#f+1/0/2002/0/0/2002). However, on further consideration, the ring I currently have on my finger could not be more perfect (it has been nicknamed ‘the shiny’ because of the way it sparkles in every light). Three stone, 0.43 carat and just beautiful! Sometimes the guy really does know best!
