Wow guys! I’m loving all these responses and I am notice that many people would want to work with animals!
watcherofthestars: I like that you mentioned furthuring your education. I’d like to add “Professional Student” to my list because if I didn’t have to work and money/spending weren’t an issue I would just stay in school…forever. I’ve always loved school and learning.
SilverWire: What do you do? It is so great to hear when people love their job!
Lokie85: I agree so much to do, so little time.

steen425: Oh man! If I have a choice in the matter I won’t ever work retail again, totally not for me! But I’ve heard you either love it or hate it! But it is nice to go into a store and see people who enjoy being there and don’t look miserable.
MiniMeow: Lol! Very similar!
jelly3: I agree. I think I am a person without a passion. I enjoy a lot of things, but there is nothing that I don’t get tired of if I do it to much. However for the purposes of this question I just listed things I enjoy to do and wouldn’t mind doing as a “job”. Sometimes I wonder if my passion is just doing what I want, when I want to do it!! Lol
ksn1219: I’ve been out of college for a year. I have been thinking about going back for a MA in Criminology. I get so excited about it and then I lose interest again, it happens with most things when I think about school. I would love to learn about all these different things but then I think “We’ll do I want to do that for the rest of my life?”. Event/wedding planning sounds like a very realistic thing you can do from home with your kids!
SeaOfLove: I had those panics throughout my undergraduate career. Those fears plus ~50K in debt are what keep me from going to grad school until I am completely sure. I understand where you are coming from! I want to go back to school to get a career in something that pays awesome money, and then I think about all the things I actually would be happy doing pay squat!

Get my masters first and become a counselor 🙂

I’m actually really happy doing what I do. If I could afford it, though, I’d probably take college courses in random subjects that interest me.

I’d open a small coffee shop/place for live music that opens as a wine and beer bar at night!
What I do now: I’m a community manager/event planner for a large non-profit. I manage four large walks!

I would be a jeweler/artisan/artist. One day I will be a mom with a small business, that’s my dream! Right now I am knee deep in the corporate grind.

DoubleA903: Painter. I would love to just paint. Stay home, create art and keep our place clean. I would love to paint and sketch. Oh and go to school part time school part time painter. Sigh. Also, I love the idea of having dinner on the table when Fiance get’s home from work.

A makeup artist. I love makeup and would love to go to school to learn techniques and stuff and then start my own business doing makeup for weddings and stuff.
I am currently a Program Analyst for the Federal Government. Such fun.

DoubleA903: if money were no issue I would open up a cupcake/dessert shop. I would also like to open a shelter of my own to take in stray animals (no kill shelter). And actively try to find them homes. Last, I would also open a restaurant. Darling Husband has a dream to own a restaurant one day.

I’d love to start my own business, like a bakery (I don’t bake, so that might be an issue lol), or a little boutique that sells unique home decor, jewelry, clothing, all handcrafted locally. Running an animal shelter would be amazing.
If I couldn’t own my own business, I’d teach preschool again. I loved it, but the money and lack of benefits made it an impossible forever-job. In dreamworld, I would only work part-time and have summers off. And my kids would get free childcare lol. I currently work in higher-ed as an academic counselor.

Buy a big house in the country and foster all the dogs.

DoubleA903: I would want to be a zookeeper! 🙂 That’s always sounded so fun to me.
Right now I just do office type jobs (answering phones and email, filing papers, sending faxes) it’s so boring and I feel lazy. :p

If I didn’t need money, I’d spend my time as a volunteer organizing events and fund raisers for local non-profits focusing on the homeless and abused and battered women.
I love event planning and I’m good at it, I just never wanted to make it a career.
I’m actually a Landscape Architect.

A few different things — I would be a (full time) Makeup Artist, work with the Humane Society in some capacity (I’ve tried milions of times to get in there, and no luck), or I would be a wedding coordinator and event planner.
I have a degree in Marketing and Advertising, I previously went to school to work in Veterinary care, and I am a licensed Hairstylist and Makeup Artist, so all jobs are not too far off.
AT the moment, I have 3 jobs – I work 32 hours a week for a salon & spa doing their marketing and graphic design, I also work 32 hours a week for a tourism company doing their social media marketing, and I work part time at a box office to pay the rest of the bills.
Not happy at all with my current jobs, so after the wedding next week, I’m looking to make my dreams a reality.
