I’m sorry, I LOL-ed because I had to guess on what/how to spell my cousin’s kids names were. It never occured to me to pay attention during the once a year family holiday gathering. I still don’t know if I got their names right/spelled it right…oops!

I’m sorry your cousin has so much time on her hands that she can start drama over something as dumb as this. Don’t let her get to you. Weddings bring out the worst in people, especially family!

My name was never on invitations that my parents got unless the bride/groom were super close to our family. I don’t think it’s a big deal haha, some people just have a tendancy to complain about anything and everything!

Ugh. Extended families can be the worst! We’re inviting one great-aunt, one uncle and one cousin on my side. The ones that we like, basically. Fiance invited one aunt and uncle, three cousins and his grandmothers. Given that our families combined are over 70 people (aunts, uncles, first cousins) we seriously barely invited anyone. And you know, it has saved me a lot of headaches. It’s your wedding. You can invite whomever you like!

So crazy and annoying – my great Aunt didn’t like that my invitations leaned towards the casual side (didn’t use formal names Mr. & Mrs. for address labels, didn’t use inside envelopes, etc) so she is refusing to RSVP.  Personally on the etiquitte meter – I think not rsvp’ing to an invite is more of a breach.

I can’t help but get all worked up about these things – if anything it will make us all better guests in the future.

This is always the fun part of planning a wedding! NOT! I had my share and I havne’t even sent out the invites yet!!  My grandma was upset that one of her sisters isn’t invited but the other 2 are!  Yeah it was a joyride with her but I amde it clear I wasn’t going to say yes just because she wanted her there.  I dont’ know the women not to mention no one on my moms side like her anyways and she has drama follow her so That aint coming to my wedding lol.  Best part of it was she barely speeks with that sister anyways.  She was just trying to use this as a reunion. Aint happening.  Another fun one was her complaing how my grandpas side had a lot of people on the list and not her side (they are serperated, not divorced lol )  But again I know my grandpas side more lol.  Its classic but so far she was the only one complaining but thats exactly what she does!  :))  I can’t wait to see who is compalining next when the invitations do go out! 🙂 lol.
