DH and I go together, and we aim for four times/week. If we’re busy, it ends up being 3, but usually we can make four times pretty easily. I don’t like paying for something and not using it, and much as I hate working out, I hate seeing myself get flabby even more. We’re ttc right now, and I definitely want to stay as in shape as possible for as long as possible into and after pregnancy, so that’s been providing very good motivation as well.

I’ve had a membership two seperate times and hated every moment of it. The first was at a woman’s only gym…I had a trainer for several sessions, and then when I was done with her, I never went back. Luckily a friend wanted to join the gym so she took over my membership.
The second time, my husband and I signed up together, right after the doctor told me I might have PCOS and losing weight would help manage it/get pregnant. My husband literally had to drag me out the door. We had a trainer and DH did excellent. He lost almost 40 lbs in the first 4 months and 1 1/2 years later, he’s still going 3-4 times a week. Anyway, I lost 10 lbs in the first couple months plus several inches. When I had my miscarriage, I stopped going and then never went back. Instead I like to walk and go to yoga. Going to the gym is just not for me, but I envy those who have enough motivation to go!

I try to go 4 to 5 times a week. But I am on summer vacation now. I know that when school starst up again its going to be hard for me.
My plan is to go Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat. Going on the weekends is easy. The weekdays are harder.
However, 5 years ago I lost a lot of weight, and gained it all back. I knew I couldn’t stop going to the gym or bad things would happen. Well bad things happened and now I’m a fatty again.
I have to maintaine during the year and go during the weekdays, but its sooooo hard.

In the summer, I don’t go as often because I’m constantly riding my bike and getting some exercise that way. I live in a downtown area, so I can ride my bike anywhere I want or need to go. So right now I only go 3-4 times a week (and I ride my bike there…double-workout!). In the winter months, I try to go more often since I’m not getting other forms of physical activity.

I lift weights four times a week whether at home or in the gym, but will be going to the gym now often now they’ve ordered more equipment in my building and I’ve grown out of my weights at home. My bar says it’ll support up to 150kg (330lb) but it feels wobbly at 100kg.
