I just wanted to share this with others – if you want the specific travel agent I’m going through (they do all inclusives and are on the opposite coast of me, so they work with people worldwide), feel free to PM me. I’m not here to pimp them!
We are going to Sandals Royal Caribbean for our honeymoon. Normally I am VERY much a “book it on my own, I like to be in control” kind of person. I buy all my travel online, lots of Priceline, etc. But working through a travel agent has been AWESOME.
The biggest thing is that if the price goes down at all, she takes care of getting us the cheaper price (I just keep an eye out once a week or so). Just one email and it’s taken care of. But they were a serious wealth of information on all-inclusives and also have relationships that can help us get into the preferred buildings and upgraded, etc.
We have been able to save over $500 in price adjustments. It gave me a lot of peace of mind to be able to book early (and not worry about it selling out) but also be able to continue to get the best rates.
HIGHLY recommend using a Travel Agent if you are booking an all-inclusive. It doesn’t cost anything more than booking online/calling the resort directly and has some serious perks.
