I wore a pretty garter (for my husband’s eyes only) he he but skipped the garter toss. I did toss a special bouquet that split into 6 or so pieces with little love sayings attached to each piece. I invited ALL the ladies up, single, married or whatever.

I am wearing a garter, but we will not be doing a toss. Instead, we are doing an anniversary dance where all married couples come out onto the floor and the DJ tells them to sit down based on how many years they have been together. At the end the couple who has been together the longest will be standing and that couple will receive the bouquet and toss garter. (My Fiance will already have the toss garter in his pocket so I will only be wearing the main garter)

We’re not doing the garter toss because we think it’s a little awkward for the groom to be up the bride’s skirt while friends and family look on… I agree with a PP… that kinda stuff should stay in the bedroom. Plus, as a guest, I always kinda dreaded the tosses. I’m supposed to tackle other women to get a bouquet? No thanks 🙂

I might still wear a garter because it seems kinda sessay- and I might surprise the groom when we get back to our room. Aaand, how often can you wear a garter? I guess if it’s comfortable, it would make a nice memento.

Not a fan of the toss, but I will wear one as a surprise for him on our wedding night. like someone else said, how often would I get to wear a garter otherwise?

I’ll probly only put mine on towards the end of the reception though… From what I’ve heard they are not comfortable to have on all day.

I didn’t do a toss, and didn’t wear a garter! If I had a family one, or a sweet pretty one, I probably would have just worn one anyway, but I didn’t really want to spend my time looking for a garter before the wedding. Was pretty low-priority for me.

When I think of a classy wedding, a garter toss does NOT come to mind.

I find it really tacky. I will not be wearing one either. There really isnt a point.

@TheFuture Mrs O:  What you said 🙂 haha

I’m going to wear one and it can be a nice surprise for FH but I always hate going up at weddings so I don’t want to torture anyone at ours!
