I’ll be getting my veil in on Friday. It’s so amazing and I hate that I’m only going to get to wear it for a short while. I’m really thinking about finding a way to get it bustled.
I’d love to see pictures of brides who have done the same thing. Thanks!

I’m sorry I can’t help, but.. bustling a veil? I guess I had never heard of this. I’d be interested to see pictures too!

You can bustle a veil? I haven’t heard of that? I’m sorry I’m no help but I’m interested in seeing if other Bees have any feedback.

@MissFireFlower: Go to Youtube and type in Bustling Veil with Randy Fenoli. He pulls it up and then puts a decorative hat pin through the veil and your hair. Good Luck

I have never heard of it! Please post a picture of your bustled veil when it’s done!

I was Maid/Matron of Honor this summer and the bride sort of had her veil bustled. Basically it snapped up, 2 snaps were on the top next to the comb (one on each side), and other snaps were down on the veil somewhere. It was really easy to do.

Oh I wish I knew that was an option can someone post the link

that YouTube vid was so helpful!! My veil is a drop veil, so it’s being held on with hat pins anyway. I’m going to use that trick to try and bustle it!!

@Mrs. Fireworks: It looks amazing!! Did you use pins? Did your seamstress put it in? Did she use ties, snaps, hooks? How secure was it?

@MissFireFlower: She used those little metal hooks. You know the kind that are on dresses at the top of a zipper to keep it zipped up? Those. There were to small hooks on the bottom of the veil behind the embroidery (about 3 feet apart from each other) and I just took those and hooked them to the little loops in the comb!
It was very secure which I loved, since I was stressing out about people stepping on the veil the whole time we took photos!

I had a 120″, cathedral-length veil, and I bustled mine. The bridal salon used a single, clear, plastic snap, strategically placed. It worked perfectly! I’m sorry that this is the only pic of the bustle:
Here is a pic of my veil unbustled:
ETA: Because of the bustle, I wore my veil the entire evening and never took it off until I arrived at our hotel.
