What is your experience with buying preowned gown from another bride?
Do you feel that the bride who you bought the gown from was completely honest with you about the condition of the gown ?
Are you happy with the condition of the gown you received? It would be great to hear from all of you.

my experience was great
the whole transaction was over in less than a week.
the dress came as described- pristine condition
i would do it again in a heartbeat! i saved a ton of money. my Pronovias dress retails $2500 new and i got it for $600, garment bag and shipping included, plus she threw in a new longline bra, a veil and a sash with a flower on it
i found my dress through preownedweddingdresses.com

I got my dress in a consignment shop for $250. It is handmade and fits almost perfectly. It retails for $1500 and I’m very happy with it.

Mine was fantastic. I bought it on preownedweddingdresses.com. Me and the seller became friends on Facebook, which made us trust each other more. I sent her a check after I felt like I trusted her, she was holding it until I tried it on and made sure it was the one. It was. The dress retails now for $4,500, I got it for $1,400 I think it was. She had it listed for more but lowered the price for me.
If it feels wrong once you start talking to someone, I say don’t do it. But if it feels fine, go for it, you can save a ton of money on a dress you never would have been able to get before.
Oh also, if the dress is in salons, I definitely recommend going to try it on before you try to buy from someone.
Good luck! Go with your gut!

We bought both of our dresses from a consignment store, and were glad we did. Not only did we save money, but we got to try on the exact dresses we would be wearing, and take them home the same day.

All you brides seem to have great online dress shopping experience. I had the worst experience ever because I came across an extremely shady seller and she was actually a bee on here as well.
First off she advertised the gown as excellent and ready to wear condition, and it has been spot cleaned, no stain or tear. When I received the gown I noticed the hem still had dirt stain, and there are two tears around the hem from shoes heel stepped on. I told her because I didn’t agree to buy the gown under that condition, for all the time she has taken to respond to my email, I ask if she would take it back with $600 less than my paid price although even one day after I received the dress or at least offer some discount to offset the cost to clean and fix because none of this was mentioned and I was not expecting huge additional cost added in on top of the already expensive price I paid. She only refused to do anything, but even threathened to hire a lawyer to fight for her case if I file dispute on paypal. What a shady seller. I know karma has it course beause she will not be able to get away with treating someone that way after being completely deceiving.
I can’t be cheap so I had to take it the most reputable cleaner and seamtress and I had to spend extra $700 for cleaning and cost to fix the hem so I can sell the item. It would be in the condition that I would wear or how it should has been coming from her, but I take a loss to not ever wore the beautiful gown that Iwill have to be reminded of this person looking at my wedding photos for years to come.
