@teainthemountains:  I have a white gold wedding set and I love it! I love the brightness of the metal and how it compliments the colorless diamonds my husband chose. I have a love for yellow gold though so it was difficult to choose which color setting I wanted for my other diamond ring. I ended up choosing to go white gold again because I wanted to wear my wedding band with it and I don’t like mixing metals. Maybe one day I’ll get another ring with yellow gold and just not worry about matching ๐Ÿ˜

I’d go with the same metal color (white), but I’d opt for unplated white gold rather than rhodium dipped.

I’d still go with 18k yellow gold. I love the warm color, and most of my other jewelry is yellow gold. I love the weight of platinum, but white metals don’t look that great on me.

I’d go with yellow gold again. I only wear yellow or rose gold because white metals don’t look good on me and I just don’t really like white metal most of the time. I like rose gold a lot but yellow gold suits me the best and most of my jewelry is yellow gold!

Most of my jewelry was white. A few years ago, I went with rose and yellow for a few pieces. I regretted that fairly quickly. I’ve had everything replated to white recently. What I’ve found out is I’m really sensitive to how certain colors look on my skin (pale with blue undertones).
I still very much appreciate how yellow and rose gold looks on others.

White metals don’t look that great on my skin, and also I’m not a fan of the hassle associated with having to rhodium-plate white gold to keep it white.  And platinum is pretty heavy, and a little more expensive.  I’m a yellow and rose gold girl for myself.  My original wedding set is 14k yellow gold.  I love the warm glow of yellow gold, and I love the contrast between a white diamond and yellow gold.  But I love rose gold also, it looks romantic to me, so if I were choosing a new ring or rings, I’d choose rose gold.  I have purchased a couple of rose gold bands that I occasionally wear instead of my original set.

I sort of already did back in October. My engagement ring was a platinum  mined diamond halo and band. I chose a platinum 3 stone with mined side diamonds and a lab sapphire. So totally different style and stone lol. Much happier with it!

@teainthemountains:  I like differen t color metals and stones but not on me. That kind of makes me sad because there are some beauties out there. But I feel white gold and clear stones are less flashy.

If I had to for some reason choose a new wedding set, I would end up with an exact replica of what I have right now. I personally have too much sentiment behind these rings and don’t see myself ever replacing them.

@teainthemountains:  I had white gold and loved it but once I heard of rose gold I knew that was the metal for me! I just had my diamond reset from a white gold to a rose gold setting and am so happy with the change!!! Here’s the before and after:
