Ehhh I’m not sure I would trade. I REALLY love my ring and it was only $1,150,

but I would ALSO love this…

@curlymama318:  Oh, wow! That is BEAUTIFUL!

I would get this one! I’m not really big on jewelry, especially ornate rings (my engagement ring (and soon my wedding band) is the only thing I wear aside from a necklace he got me for Christmas), but I saw this one two nights ago after I Googled what a steampunk wedding would look like.

It is gorgeous. It’s asymmetrical, which I LOVE, while still being balanced. I’m not really one for flowers / leaves, but they somehow make this piece complete. It is absolutely stunning! It actually costs less (Etsy!) than my engagement ring now because it’s a white sapphire instead of a diamond. I don’t know that I would want to change the stone, but maybe!

I’d go for something classic and timeless…a Tiffany or Cartier round solitaire on a platinum band and the diamond would be around 2 carats.

I’d choose an orange or red diamond,

rings would be matte or brushed gold.

This. Same as what I have except an upgrade to 1.5 or 2 ct. VVS1

I love this thread! I would choose this pear ring, I don’t remember the carat size but it was MASSIVE and so beautiful! This is my hand in the photo, I was lucky enough to try it on and I think my eyes teared up a little bit 😉 BUT I would never spend that sort of money on a ring! A girl can dream though!

Tiffany round brilliant with tapered baguettes, four carats, D color, IF. For fun I tried on a ring like this at Tiffany’s once and loved it–the one I tried on was a lower stone quality but $150,000. I bet that IF with D color for a four carat stone would be at least half a million dollars.

I am lucky and ended up getting my dream ring! It’s what I always wanted, so I am lucky that it ended up being within our budget.
