I LOVE Chicken Cordon Bleu, but I don’t think it’s great for a single choice at a wedding. I’d probably go with something like Chicken Picatta if I was only having a single entre option.

I love crab and lobster but wouldn’t want to be digging into the shells at a formal event.  So it would depend on how it was served.

I voted Filet of Beef, but I’d prefer Surf and Turf with some lobster added as well. And sushi. And fettucine alfredo. So hungry……

Personally I think you would be better of spending the money on giving your guests two choices instead of just the beef filet (if that’s an option). I would choose the beef too, but lots of people don’t eat red meat. Of the options from your caterer I think the filet and then either the duck or a chicken option would be good. If you have to choose just one I think you should go with a chicken, just because it’s probably the most universally liked.

I agree with the PP who said surf & turf – filet and lobster. If I picked just one I’d want the filet with some type of mushroom sauce, preferably made with wine πŸ™‚

No lamb option? I would love me some lamb. But given the choices I voted for Fillet.

I personally would not want any chicken at a formal event.

Mmm.  Some kind of steak with brandy cream sauce and mushrooms . . .

Prime rib would be great, too.

The venue we’re hoping for has “deluxe” meals, pretty much a surf & turf plate.

The filet & crab cake… if I could afford it, I would make it the only dish available…

If you’re only allowed one entree, I’d go with chicken or beef, probably chicken over beef.

We did Chinese food and our guests loved it. A lot people talked about it after the wedding and said things like, “how unique!” and “I’ve never had Chinese food at a wedding before.” I reccommend it πŸ™‚ I just wish I could have had the chance to eat more of it!
