Maybe it’s just where I’m from, but I (and luckily, my Fiance as well!) was always told that you go to a private jeweler to get an engagement ring and a wedding ring. If you have a family jeweler, or a local jeweler that you have gotten reviews about, I would go there. I love the idea that my ring was made specifically for me; it doesn’t matter how many people have rings similar to mine, I know my Fiance picked each part and that it was just for me.

I have never been a brand person. If I like something I don’t care what the brand is, I just like it. I can’t even think of any brands that I prefer for anything (clothes, shoes, purses) so I would just look at the rings each brand has to offer and choose the style I like and pay no attention to the brand.

In my opinion, Neil Lane and Tacori are too busy (no offense to any bees with those rings). I am not a halo fan and I love simple, no side stones, so I would have to say Tiffany.

If it had to be a name brand I would vote Tiffany’s. My set from my first marriage was from Tiffany’s and the customer service was great. I  brought my rings in for free cleanings frequently and the one time I needed a repair ( I managed to bend a platinum setting!) the repair was handled timely with great communication. This time around we went custom.

if money was no issue I would like a ring that my husband and I designed with both our birthstones’ and some how set in a diamond halo

KateyGrace:  I voted other because I love mine. It’s a reproduction of a vintage setting. I don’t like Tacori, just way too busy for me. But that’s ME. I’d start looking around and what happened with me was I just kept coming back to the vintage styles. When you find yourself being drawn over and over to a particular style, there ya go!

I picked Tiffany only because I don’t care for the settings of Tacori (IMO a bit gaudy) and Neil Lane – – well meh!! I co sign Lauren B though … I had to stop following their IG too much ring envy lol

Neil Lane Couture but not Neil Lane for Kay/Jared or whatever. Cushion set in a platinum split shank halo… Maybe one day I can reset my cushion diamond into one of these bad boys.

My dream ring is the Tiffany Legacy.

My actual ring isn’t Tiffany, but the design is fairly close.

Initially I was super wowed by the Tiffany name. Of course it’s beautiful. Then I learned a lot more about the diamond world and had infinitely MORE FUN thinking about specs and cuts and qualities and colors lol all of it! It became more fun to explore my own likes and dislikes instead of just going for something i really feel is over priced and not worth just the name of it anymore. Trust me I was head over heels for a Tiffany embrace or Tiffany Soleste. They really are gorgeous. But I get a lot more out of choosing my own gem as well as more bang for the buck.

Other – I’d find an incredible vintage ring that’s completely unique from what other people have. 🙂

Harry Winston does a gorgeous delicate halos.  Or also love Leon Mege’s aesthetic, and his beautiful prongs.

I LOVE jewellery, I’m actually going into Jewellery Design school.

My personal fave is tacori. Their work is extremely intricate, high quality, the diamonds they use are conflict free and Eco friendly, and they have TONS of designs to choose from.

My ring is Tacori, it’s platinum. Platinum is great for the intricate design because it’s so hard vs. gold which is much softer.

the downside to Tacori, is that if you ever need anything repaired, it does take awhile. The focus it seems, is to get new pieces out the door quickly, while repairs can take a few months.

I haven’t had any problems with my ring, the diamonds are all secure and beautiful! Just try to avoid the diamonds around the entire ring, as they are more likely to be damaged in that case.

    This is my ring –

This is my new fav tacori design –

Also, Verragio is great too. Their rings are smooth and super comfortable on the inside.
