Eh. It didn’t really matter to me what metal, to be honest. I just knew I wanted it to be white/silver. I don’t care for yellow or rose gold on my skintone.

No. We were going to go with platium but we went with white gold because our jeweler convinced us to go with the gold. We have been happy with our choice!

Platinum is pretty, but I actually wanted white gold because it’s not as heavy as platinum. I tried in a few platinum settings and I didn’t like feeling the weight on my hand, so no Smile

I quite like my platinum it stays a bright vivid white and i have a lot of band showing so that was really important. i didnt personally notice weight but what i did hate was the huge price difference,

Yes ! I got my band upgraded to platinum after a month. πŸ™‚ BUT, based on WB, my platinum band was still cheaper than most people’s wedding bands (no gems/diamonds in it).

*My e-ring is rose gold with platinum flanks. That is an antique, so I wouldn’t have it changed.

I “could have had platinum” but wanted yellow gold. I prefer the look of yellow gold.

It would be for me. My skin loves to eat rhodium from white gold so I’d have to get my ring serviced very often to keep it pretty.

No, platinum wouldn’t have made a difference to me. I looked into platinum rings, but my fiance did get white gold. i just wanted it to be silver in color. πŸ™‚

Yes, I wanted it.  Fiance didn’t.

Palladium is a good substitue I heard.

My fiance was going to get a platinum setting for my e-ring, but the jeweler said that since I have large diamonds in the setting, platinum is not hard enough to hold it in place. So my ring is white gold and I love it!

I personally don’t really like the look of platinum and prefer white gold.  So no, I wouldn’t have switched.

It really didn’t make any difference to me.  All of my jewelery is white gold, so we stuck with that!
