I grew up in Somerville, MA (about a 5 minute train ride from downtown Boston) and have lived in Honolulu, HI and I now live in Tallahassee, FL. I’ve traveled around a lot too. I honestly love NYC. If I can find a job that pays decent so I wouldn’t have to live in a studio with 4 roommates, I would do it. Oh, and I’d have to convince the boy (he doesn’t like cities ). Other than NYC, I would consider living in Vegas, my second favorite city in the country. San Fran would be on the list too. Internationally, I would live in Cape Town, London, or Paris. I’m applying for a Fulbright to study in Munich, Germany for a year, so hopefully I get to spend some time there. 🙂 Obviously I just like big cities with lots of people!

we’re in dc now, and are moving to nyc this summer so i can go to grad school. it’s absolutely the best place we could be moving right now, in terms of opportunities for fi and the school for me, but i’d applied all over and spent some time thinking about moving to different places, and the idea of a small midwestern college town also really appeals to me, even though it’s so different. i grew up in one, and i can see us ending up in one in like 10 years or something!

I currently live in Houston. I HATE every minute of it. I would move back to Colorado in a heartbeat. And thanks to Nicholas Sparks, I now have this desire to live in North Carolina on the beach!

des salazar, Nicholas Sparks has made me fond of NC as well! LOL!

Here, but… I wish I were living in a home we own rather than an itty bitty rental!! FFI owns a home in Portland, OR so we have to wait to sell that before we can really buy over here. 🙁
Living in HI is a dream come true for me and I’m very grateful for that, but if I had to live anywhere else it would be in Portland with my friends and his family, or Seattle where my family is, cause it’s hard to be so far away from everyone. We are just trying to convince them all to move to the island instead!! ;-D

I live in Indiana–woohoo for being soo exotic lol. I would like to live anywhere outside the midwest/plains area…somewhere perferrably on the coast, maybe near some mountains
EDIT: Also I’d prefer a place with a temperate climate…

I was born in upstate NY, and currently live in Chicago, The hubs and I want to move to the new England area relatively soon because we want to be closer to our families. But we’re not too partiular about where. We just want a property with a decent amount of land because we’re kind of sick of the city already 🙂

Currently live in Des Moines and would have a hard time leaving due to good values, friendly people and no traffic! I though I’d want to live in Chicago but when I was there for a job interview I traveled 1 mile in 45 minutes and I had wanted nothing to do with that! I’d love to move to a Scandinavian country, Germany or Switzerland. Yes high taxes, but free health care and education. I love how there is efficient public transportation. People don’t want to flaunt their wealth which is a huge problem here in the US. In Switzerland they are actually embarassed to flaunt wealth. And of course Europeans get lots of PTO!
