I’ve changed my gown like 3 times before (i know its crazy :/) but im having the hardest time deciding if i should go with something i like or something that flatters my figure a bit more.. So, lets pretend.. If iyou were me, and you could pick between this 2 gowns for your wedding, which one would you pick? ..
White by Vera Wang style 351129
from her 2012 fall collection. Ivory.
#2 San Patrick Rhin
Spring 2012 collection. Off-white
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

Hmm… I’m not sure either is really my style, but I guess if I could have #1 made strapless and modified to a sweetheart neckline, I’d go with that one.

I think idealy you should go with something you like AND flatters your figure but if that isn’t the case I’d just go with the one that you liked. You are the one that needs to be happy with your dress.

@Mrs_powerz: It’s hard to choose without actually seeing them on you (especially since you said one of your concerns is finding something that really flatters your figure), but if I were just picking the dress I like most based on these pictures alone … I vote for the White by Vera Wang. I think it looks really soft and romantic, and that style of dress seems to look really nice on most people.

Neither of them are what I’d wear, but I like the second one much more

@Bunny82: the thing is i couldnt find somthing that i like, AND that flatters my figure :C
like dress #1 its modern and ethereal which i love, but it doesn flatters me quite well..
and dress #2 its not that modern or ethereal but its romantic and flatters me well..
tough choice :S

I have a moderately sized bust and found styles like #2 to be waaaay to cleavage-y for my tastes.

I voted Vera! It just looks so soft and romantic!

@jdhall89: omg that helps me SO MUCH, cause i havent tried on dress #2 but im a 36-C so i guess thats a good to know fact (:

@Mrs_powerz: Yeah, I’m a similar cup volume, and for me, it was very BOOBS. Like “eh, we don’t need to show my mom this one.” (but I definitely have conservative taste for the dress, so take that with the grain of salt)

@Mrs_powerz: did you purchase already? if not, i like 2. love the straps..

Not sure if this might help you, but my dress (San Patrick Rafaga) is similar-ish so it might give you an idea of what dress #2 would look like (I’m a size 4, 34C). First one no straps, second one has straps (pardon the bad quality and clips – the straps were detachable, and I was trying to figure out if I like them on the side of my shoulders as opposed to on them). Hope that is (maybe) helpful!

I voted for the San Patrick.

Definitely the first one.

I love, love, love the ethereal feeling of the first one. The tulle is just beautiful. I usually don’t “get” VW dresses but this one is stunning.
Not really digging the second one as much. It’s beautiful and definitely more figure-fitting, but something about the top puts me off. I think the corset bodice makes me think of lingerie.
