To me the point of a thank you card is to be personal, so while I did a photo card and it had the words “Thank You” on it, I included a personal thank you directed to each person and the gift/card/whatever that they gave.

We got cards that had photo frames on front. We slid a photo in and then wrote a personal message on the inside as with any other thank-you card. All of the photo thank-yous we’ve ever received have also had personal messages on the back or inside.

my friend sent me a DIY photo card with a picture of the two of us at her wedding! i was so touched – it was amazing to have such a personal card.

definitely think personal is the way to go. it makes a much bigger impact to the guests.

Thank you’s really should be personalized to the individual receiving it. While we did include a generic “Thanks for thinking of us on our special day”, we also wrote a short note in every single one. Your guests took the time to attend your wedding and in most cases, give you a gift. You should atleast put a little bit of effort into their thank you.

To give you an idea, this is what ours looked like…

I had our thank you cards printed at Moo.com. We had a picture of us on the front, inside on the left I wrote a personalized message for each guest and on the right was printed “Thank You! Please visit our website to download photos and for a surprise!”
