Old: My grandmother’s rosary wrapped on my bouquet

New: Pearl and diamond jewelry my grandmother gifted me (we were incredibly close and she passed away a little over a year before my wedding)

Borrowed: One of my best friend’s and sorority sister’s badge that I wore pinned inside my dress over my heart

Blue: My garter

And I even wore a six pence penny in my shoe the whole night!

Borrowed: totally spaced this, whoopsies

Mine will be

Old: My great uncles (closes thing I ever had to a grandfather) ring that he gave to my fiance. I’m planning on attaching it to my bouquet.

New: Dress, shoes and jewelry

Borrowed: My godmother’s veil

Blue: All my jewelry. My engaement ring, wedding band, hair comb, necklace and earrings all have saphires.

borrowed: undecided yet… 

blue: my sseko ribbon sandals (with light blue ribbon)!  Quite possibly my favorite purchase ever, each sandal is handmade by a woman in Africa, and the purchase goes directly to her college education.

borrowed: my bouquet was wrapped in a “borrowed” piece of my wedding dress I got from the alterations. It matched perfectly and I counted it as something borrowed 🙂

blue: my underwear was blue with officially mrs. and my married name on the back in white

Old: my bapstim bonnet that turned into a hankercheif I carried arround my bouquet.

New: dress, shoes, earrings, bracelet

Borrowed: pearl necklace from my grandmother

Blue: blue ribbon on my underwear and also blue crystal “I DO” decals for the bottoms of my shoes

Borrowed: MIL’s pearl necklace

Blue: my shoes! (for the ceremony, at least)

Old: My garter is made of material from my mom’s wedding dress (she made it)

New: Dress, jewelry

Borrowed: I did borrow a basket from an A/U for cards, but know that somewhat doesn’t count. It was hard – and although probably still doesn’t count… I’m “borrowing” a necklace from my Grandma who passed away a couple years ago, and the charm on it that has her first name initial “V” will be pinned on my bouquet.

Blue: My shoes! Had the shoes I found not match so awesomely with the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, I woudl have done blue toenail polish.

Blue: My garter/my sapphire ring

I also had a sixpence in my shoe (though, to be fair, I didn’t wear my shoes during the ceremony).

Borrowed: My mom’s clutch (which I barely used)

Blue: My right hand ring has sapphires, I had it made out of my (other) grandmother’s engagement ring
