    Don’t do it! .. at least not until you try on the  Allure dress that is very similar and runs for about $1500. =)

    @MissJitterbug Hey there! It comes in cafe (in the picture), ivory, and white. I tried it on at an, ahem, *overpriced* salon in DC, at it was priced at $8300. That was 9 months ago so it might have come down a bit since then. I’ve read that some other girls have seen it closer to $7K. ๐Ÿ™‚

    @MissJitterbug Then you should totally do it, if it won’t blow your budget.  It’s not my style, but if I saw a friend who was thrilled to be wearing it, I would love it on her. ๐Ÿ™‚  Besides, looking back and laughing at yourself in out-of-date styles is one of the pleasures of life!

    The Bijou looks much nicer to me.  I think it’s the dropped waist, it just looks more cohesive instead of like 2 different dresses that were pasted together.

    Okay, I totally wasn’t into dress shopping, but like Katebydesign I bought Allure C157. I just love her ๐Ÿ™‚ she is perfect for me. I really didn’t care about dresses until I saw her. I fell in love. Tried my hardest to forget her because I didn’t want to spend over $1,000. Then we stumbled into a dress shop next to a resturaunt we were eating at…and I accidently met her…and my mom AND my sister accidently met her and everyone fell in love. Then we not-so-accidently-but-there-was no-other-option bought her. However, I do LOVE Sunday Rose. If something crazy were to happen to the Allure C157 design…(knock on wood)…Sunday Rose is the only dress that would do. If you love her there is not going to be another substitute.

    I wouldn’t worry about looking back years later and wondering what you were thinking. It is going to be be the feeling you get the day of your wedding. I wouldn’t settle for something that makes you feel “okay” the day of your wedding for pictures sake later on. Trust me, this is coming from someone who really only just wanted to “like” her wedding dress!

    @MissJitterbug

    I would go for it! I have a dress that’s similar and it was definitely hard to overcome the fact that everyone wasn’t going to love it, but that doesn’t matter because I do!

    Here’s mine: it reminds me of the flower detail and this one has a sweetheart-ish neckline.

    I LOVE these types of dresses! I wanted to buy the one at DB, but an outside wedding in the afternoon, plus a dress of this weight did not mix.

    If I was getting married inside / in the winter, I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Even my Fiance loved it (I showed him pictures later, when I knew I wasn’t getting it).

    I personally would not buy it, but that’s very much due to the fact that I want my wedding photos to look classic and timeless.  When your kids look at your photo- do you want them to say…”ohh.. that was then trend then”? It is a beautiful dress- I think I actually saw it in a magazine, just too trendy for me.
