I had precisely zero interest in being a “sexy bride” so for me, it wasn’t a body confidence issue. More an issue of being confident enough to wear something so deliciously offbeat around my super traditional family. In the end, I just didn’t have the cojones, so I wound up in something all white and fairly conventional.

I love this one and I have the confidence to wear it…. just not the strength! lol. IT WEIGHS SO MUCH so I decided to not get it. I would’ve worn it in white too- but still just weighs so much I’d for sure faint!

this sort of flowing gorgeous clingy sexy concoction with MORE colour on the bottom – dip dyed similar to Gwennys dress.
*sigh, I hate my boobs sometimes*

Apologies if this doesn’t go well – only my second post overall and the first time I’ve attempted including a pic! This is what’s sitting in a wardrobe upstairs right now – unworn and I’m not sure if it’ll ever get an outing! Not a traditional wedding dress by any means, but I’d love to wear it anyway…

@krayzay87 Mine would be HUGE, FANTASIC, so over the top! Like these…(modern day wedding gowns do nothing for me)
And not for a wedding, but I so want to wear this dress!

Note my screen name….the first dress could be so much fun in the right scenario!
Ohh, I love that flowy chiffon! Has a passing similarity to my actual dress,, which has (very necessary) a whole lot more structure for my plus size requirements!
Also stunning! Even when thin, I never had the booty for such a stunning dress!
Love your porcupine fish! Do you dive?
People, and bodies, change. When I met my Fiance 6 years ago, I was a size 8. I am now a size 18. Body issues can be very hard to overcome, and the dream dresses we might love aren’t always right for our bodies. Could I wear @krayzay87
‘s example dress? Sure. Would it look good on my figure…..oh heck no. Now, a few women out there may have the confidence to say “Hey, it’s what I want to wear, heck with anyone who doesn’t like it”, and that’s that. However, I feel that a dress like that is not right for me, and I’d be exceptionally uncomfortable walking out in it in public. For me, it’s no different than if she’d asked “what day-to-day outfit would you like to wear, if you were more confident.” Even when “thin”, there were certain outfits I loved that I still would never purchase/wear.

Oh hey, I didn’t even notice your screen name

well, I hadn’t actually responded to the thread until just now; I was just intending to say “Hey! See my screename? That insinuates that we may -get- each other!”. Without intending to threadjack, I love Scarlett and feel she’s highly misunderstood. If we need to, feel free to take this discuss to private messaging. 🙂

I tried it on! I would love to wear a mermaid but my mom said she didn’t like the idea of a mermaid as a wedding dress. I wanted her to love the dress as much as I did
