I have an antique old mine cushion solitaire which I absolutely adore

but if I had to change I would probably go for one of these..

I just like simplicity with a twist.

I wouldn’t trade mine for the world (heck, I chose it!) but if I had to get a new one (key word new), I would just get a simple emerald cut solitaire. I tried one on when we were looking around and was struck by how simple and elegant it was. But my heart has always been set on an antique art deco ring.

My ring: 1920s-ish art deco

and if I had to, something like this:

What I have ^

What I want is a simple classic tiffany setting (ie thinner band, 6 prong)

I would get an asscher solitaire in a really simple setting, and fairly large (1.5 or 2ct) if I could swing it.

I’d prefer a moissanite, but they don’t make asscher cut yet 🙁

This was really, really hard…because I think that the ring my DH picked for me is the only one I could ever feel right wearing!  It took me a lot of looking around to even find one that could take second place to me now.  But if I absolutely had to….

Here is my ring:

Here is the “other” one:

Well, if I had to change it, might as well pretend money is no object, right?

Ok, so I’ve had to change my e-ring for a couple of reasons. I went with smokey quartz at first, which was too soft and got scratched very quickly. The stone kept getting loose in its setting and I wanted a wider band. Here’s the old ring, the new one I chose and another ring e-ring I wouldn’t mind having (I love so many of them!)

Other style I would change to:

I have a square cushion solitaire right now, but if I had to change I’d probably go with an elongated cushion or a three stone ring.

I have a claddaugh ring (my request, though my husband picked up the particular style).

If I had to change, though, I’m liking a lot of the rose gold rings I’ve seen. I also love more unique, antique or antique style rings. So maybe something like this?

Or this:

Basically something unique and vintage looking.

I will probably have something along these lines:

and if I could have whatever I wanted, I would go with a Verragio. Something like this:
